The Kelemata herbal tea is one of the most known and effective remedies to promote the restoration of intestinal regularity, which can sometimes be compromised by a hectic lifestyle and without schedules, disorderly or excess nutrition in fats, stress and some medicinal therapies. Appreciated since the 1940s for its ability to do well in a few days, today it has maintained this reputation, since there is no chemical principle in it but its ingredients are 100% natural as well as lacking of gluten and irritants for the mucous membrane of the intestine. Originally available only in powder form, today Tisana Kelemata is able to meet any need and is found in filters to prepare excellent herbal teas, in sugared almonds to swallow with water, in granulated or free herbs, for infusions or decoctions.

What it is made of: its natural ingredients




Senna, fennel, licorice and dandelion, with the addition of peppermint and lemon balm, are the natural ingredients thanks to which the Kelemata herbal tea acts on several fronts, exploiting the benefits of herbs in synergy with each other. Senna is an alpine plant whose fruits possess mildly non-irritating laxative properties, while fennel has always been known for its carminative essential oils, which deflate the abdomen and free it from meteorism. The dandelion, meanwhile, thanks to the purifying principles contained in its flowers, cleans the body of excess waste. Finally, the licorice behaves like a tonic and gives a good taste to the herbal tea or to the preparations in free grass. Mint and lemon balm, present in smaller quantities, serve instead to improve digestive functions and calm colon contractions, respectively.

How to use it



The remedy Kelemata herbal tea can be taken in different ways, according to preferences. The sugared almonds should be swallowed with a little water in the evening before going to sleep and you should not take more than three at a time, while for the herbal tea in sachet it will be enough to place a filter in 250 ml of hot water not brought to boiling and sip it in the evening after dinner. Those who prefer granules will have to dissolve two or three teaspoons in half a glass of hot water and drink in the morning. Finally, free herbs are left to infuse for 15 minutes in warm water before drinking the mixture. It should be remembered, however, that the Kelemata herbal tea should not be taken every day but is a remedy to be used occasionally. In fact, in order to obtain better and lasting results, it is necessary to include many more liquids and fibers in the daily diet, assimilated by fresh fruits and vegetables.

Kelemata herbal tea: Contraindications and side effects



Although completely natural, the use of the Kelemata herbal tea also has contraindications and some (very few) side effects. The presence of licorice should discourage the taking of hypertensives, as should those who are allergic to herbs contained in it and should have severe abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting. Diabetics should prefer the filter or free herb formulation, which is free of sucrose, and avoid the granulate, which instead contains it. Women who are pregnant or who are breastfeeding can normally use the Kelemata herbal tea (it is better to ask the attending doctor first). The side effects concern light abdominal pains and episodes of diarrhea which, when present, spontaneously regress.
